I tried removing it and lubricating the gearbox in the hope of quieting it, but then it stopped running entirely. I can still turn the gears using the knobs on the front panel and by manually rotating the motor's rotor, so I'm guessing that the motor has died. It is also possible that I used the wrong lubricant (lithium grease) and gummed up the gearbox to the point where the motor can't produce enough torque to turn the gears anymore.	Repaired
