| Surrey, British Columbia | Kenmore Elite dual fuel | none | Nov 2008: hidden bake element failed while cooking - made bzzzt noise and smoke in oven. When oven was examined by technician, the hidden bake element appeared to have a localized weak spot where thefailure occured; it was either caused by the EMC or the violent failure of the element fried the EMC. Sears replaced with a new EMC (after 3 months waiting for part!) and hidden bake element Feb 17 2009.
Note: I am sending 3 timers at once, so ship back all 3 at once please: I can wait for all 3 repairs or if only 1 or 2 can be repaired, you can send the dead ones when the good ones are ready. | Awaiting receipt of timer | | Surrey, British Columbia | Kenmore Elite dual fuel | F 15 | Same range, 1 year later, we were out when the failure happened so I don't know what exactly occured. It was set on slow cook, low setting and when we came in at the end of the day, the clock was beeping and the F15 was on the display. When I opened the oven door the 2 lightbulbs did not light, but they will stil both light with the touchpad. When I try to start the oven or the warming functions, get beeping and F15 and it won't start.
