I have a Roper washer which has a jerky motion in the tub when in the spin cycle. It acts like a bad belt or transmission problem. It has a bad vibration as though the belt was chunked out, is this possible as I don't see a belt anywhere? It started all of the sudden!

Machine intermittantly stops running at the end of an agitate cycle. It sets there with the water still in the machine. No noise, the clock isn't running, nothing. If I jar it the right way, or turn the clock to the next cycle, usually it will complete its function. Sometimes I have to fiddle with it, or jar it several times to make it continue. I'm thinking the clock needs to be replaced, but at $100. I'd like a pro's opinion.
