I Am Able To Cook Up Top But Cant Get The Oven To Function Please Help. I have a Jenn-air duel fuel downdraft slide in oven. Model is JDS9860AAB. The convection fan is not working or only once in a while. If I manually rotate fan sometimes it will start going. I need to locate the Part(s) to fix this. Most importantly is I need to know how to fix it. Can this be fixed without having to slide oven out? In th eoven cavity the fan is at the back and a cover has 6 screws located at 12,2,4,6,8, and 10 o'clock poistions. Is it a simple matter of removing screws, lifting out part, undoing electrical connector and then reversing steps to install new part(s). I hope so! I really don't want to have to slide oven out. By the way, all other functions of the oven and oven are working perfectly. The Enter button and the 2 clock buttons will not work. Other buttons on control panel work fine. I removed teh screws and pulled out the old element BUT now can't seem to put in the new element.I push the prongers into the holes but nothing grabs them ... they are free sliding. There is a drain in the left hand cartridge well to drain fats melted while using the grill unit. The diameter of the drain hole is 1/8 inch at most; the melted fats are collected in a cup at the bottom of the range. You guessed it, the drain tube has clogged. I have been able to use a 7 inch nylon cable tie to ream it out, and have tried boiling water with dishwasher detergent, but it still doesn't drain. Could it be blown out with compressed air? i have a jenn air oven model jds9860aab , the control for the oven is flashing F1-8 , i have tried replacing the ERC and the same F1-8 is still happening , i read on a appliance repair blog that the problem may be the oven sensor part number 74004943 or 12001656 , i have the resistence on it and the resistence is very high with the sensor at room temprature. i dont want to purchase and install a new sensor only to find the problem is not solved however i am willing to take the chance Hello my jenn-air range top oven alarm just started going off .
