The original plastic membrane was replaced about 5 years ago. A couple of the plastic clips holding the two halves of the plastic circuit board chassis had been damaged do to excessive pressure needed to operate with the original worn out membrane. Replacement parts were not available so it was necessary to reinforce the the chassis to maintain proper alignment of the membrane and buttons.
