The washer part of this system became erratic. You could turn the washer dial to the desired wash setting and pull the knob out and it would not always start. Now it doesn't start at all. I've stripped it down and removed the clock which is this one here. I've taken the clock apart, and yeah, it shows some minor signs of old age, but mostly dirt/mild corrosion. My question - is this what is at fault? At $90 I don't want to purchase if this isn't the problem. The little round component on the clock (no idea what this is) rattles. Should it? It looks like a sealed unit. It's a Siebe component.
